1 Singapore's largest christmas charity project is 35% short of its collection target for this year. This is one of tthe largest short falls in the project 21 years. I think that the reason is because of the economic downturn a lof are losing money or losing their jog so there will not be much people going to buy christmas day present for their friends,relatives and espically for their family member.

1 The smoking ban will be extended to all indoor public places and some outdoor places by January 2009.I think it is a very great news because smoking isn't very goog for the health but people who breath in the smoke from smokers will suffer wrose than person who smoke. Now we can go to the market, non-airconditioner shopping mall, playground,carpark and lift lobby to breath in fresh air and not smoke.
2 The education Ministry is bringing forward manpower hiring plans amides the economic downturn in hope of employing more than 2,200 teachers. I think it is very great because now school can have more than enough teachers to last for the whole year and if some teachers are sick or and giong on a lof overseas trip will have a replacement for them.

2 Flights out of Bangkok's saranabhumi international airport has been resumed,I think that it is a very goog news because a lof of foreigner are struck in bangkok because of the protester who took the airport are trying to take a flight back to their countries safely to their family member and go back to work.

1Vegetable prices have risen by 10 to 15 percent on average duing during the past month due to the rainy season. I think that the vegetable prices shoudn' have increase because due to the economic crisis, a lof of people are losing money or losing their job.I think that they should decrease the prices of the vegatables but give a big discount.

fire
“Tom stay at home and after your younger brother for awhile I’m out to buy some groceries,” asked mother “ok,” I replied. While mother was out I decided to go to my room to do my homework.
After awhile, I felt very hungry so I decided to cook some instant noodles to feel up my tummy. I went into the kitchen to boil some water and I went back into my room to continue to do my.
While l was doing my work, my brother kept on disturbing me yelled at him and push him out of my room and I slam on the door and looked it up, I felt sleepy and decided to take a nap.
When I woke up, I could smell smoke. I immediately rush out of the room the whole place was on fire, I saw my brother laying unconscious in the living room. I quickly rush towards him and carry him, I try to escape but the flames were licking the whole room, I ran to my room, took a blanket and cover me and my brother. I charge towards the door and knocked down the door and ran to a safe spot
A few minutes later, the fire fighters and the ambulance have come. The fire fighters
Put out the fire very quickly and the ambulance has brought my brother to the hospital, I was glad that my brother was fine.
For that day on, I promised that never to cook noodles when I was sleeping.

I was alone at home watching television when the phone rang, l shuffled my way to the phone and answer it. When I answer the phone, a man told me that my younger brother john was kidnapped and the demand a ransom of twenty thousand dollars if l didn’t appeared with the money by two day in a factory near the blog 456 they will show my John no mercy and do not call the police.
I immediately called my parents and told them want have happening to John and tell them to came back. At home my dad said to call the police but I tell him not to they will kill John but dad said police can help us but I insisted that we get twenty thousand dollars and gave the man and have John back.
Two days have pass but we haven got enough the money but my mother and I still decided to go to the factory. At the factory the kidnapper asked where is the money, I threw the bag to the kidnapper. He look into the bag and shouted there is on ten thousand dollars I asked for twenty as he took out a knife and place it at John neck. Suddenly a few policemen came out and said put your knife down and the police handcuff him and brought him back to the police station for question mom ran towards tom and hugged him as she cried my heart was finally full of joy.
